When there is an opportunity, usually fearful thoughts strikes. It can be in the form of losing one’s comfort zone, lack of skill, lack of preparedness, uncertain future, etc. Opportunity will present somewhat uncomfortable situations, it will take you out of your comfort zone (for example having to move to a new location, having to meet new people, adapting, etc). However, opportunity can be a good stepping stone.
Sit back and meditate, be mindful what it is that you are not seeing from this opportunity. There is a story in the Bible about Joshua facing the city of Jericho. What he saw was a thick wall. But God saw something else: the warriors were all cowering inside the town. They were so afraid all Joshua had to do is BOO!
When the opportunity seems insignificant, this still can be a significant stepping stone. A job doesn’t mean that you have arrived at THE JOB. So, don’t despise the day of small beginnings. See it as an egg that is meant to fly. Certain eggs, that is.
